About the Event
Join schools, parents, students, school administrators, community members, and elected officials across the country in celebrating walking to school. Help support the Safe Routes to School Program achieve its goals to enhance health, wellness, and safety! -Reduce traffic around schools and improve air quality -Build stronger school and community partnerships -Build awareness for safer ways to school -Help students live healthy lifestyles -Focus schools, parents, and village agencies on ways to solve safety concerns.
Meet at the Northport Marina Parking Lot. We will depart for the School around 7:40am. Bus drop off for students who want to participate.
Bring your own bike/skateboard/scooter to ride or just your feet!
Donuts will be graciously provided from Tom's Food Market, Tea, Hot Cocoa, and Cider provided from Around the Corner Food and Fun. We are thankful to the Northport Lions Club for providing cross guard assistance along our route.
