About the Event
Join schools, parents, students, school administrators, community members, and elected officials across the country in celebrating walking to school. Help support the Safe Routes to School Program achieve its goals to enhance health, wellness, and safety! -Reduce traffic around schools and improve air quality -Build stronger school and community partnerships -Build awareness for safer ways to school -Help students live healthy lifestyles -Focus schools, parents, and village agencies on ways to solve safety concerns
Meet at the Northport Marina Parking Lot. We will depart for the School around 7:50am. Bus drop off for students who want to participate.
RSVP to the school Now to Borrow a Bike (if needed) courtesy of Norte, North Shore Outfitters, & Leelanau Township Library. Or bring your own bike/skateboard/scooter to ride.
Donuts will be provided from Barb’s Bakery Coffee, Tea, Hot Cocoa, and Cider provided from Around the Corner Food and Fun
